    I think most of us, at one point or another, are guilty of this.

    But I think you came to the right conclusion: If it's good content, it will get spread out there. And if you keep creating good content, your personal brand equity will grow.

    You made the point by saying, "Not worrying about Digg or Mixx, use those services like they are meant to be used, discovering new and interesting content on the internet." We don't mind if you FF us to death because we understand, and, we'll put your post on the sites anyway : )

    Anyone who has posted anything of substance has probably had this feeling. I think it's natural that we want others to "share" in our thoughts, as that helps us affirm our feelings on a subject.

    I recently wrote on my own blog that we're each a "brand" now, but it shouldn't be something that we should have to put much work into. Just be natural and express yourself and as you've noted here, those who want to share in your ideas will do so.
