I agree with ya about brightkite. It has a lot of great tools you can use for getting out of the house, discovering others around you, and sharing thoughts, ideas, and pictures.

I would have to say it is one of my top applications I use these days and right now I am trying to decide if I want to switch from twitter to start posting my twitter like messages on brightkite and just feed them to twitter.

Also the comment streaming with brightkite is a real nice feature that really you dont get with twitter as well.

definately a must check out if you are not using it. And if anyone needs an invite let me know and I will shoot one your way.

But if you are looking for something that you don't need to join a group to do
that can send your location using SMS - go try Zhiing.com. Awesome app that is getting good reviews. I'm using it - love it on my iPhone.

Yes, brightkite is a nice and very useful application, too...and I agree with Chris’ thoughts on Brightkite. I'm also thinking of switching to brightkite soon.
