Digg is quite clearly letting the success get to their heads. They think that just because they're in the top 300 most visited websites on the Internet - they can manipulate, lie and cheat users out of their hard work.

Digg has some growing up to do. But when you're founder looks like a 16 year old teenager with a Macbook, what more can you expect?

1) That is not the script that got him banned.

2) Why are you asking people if Digg's actions were fair without ever posting a single line of their TOS? Um, don't you think for people to make an accurate decision, they should be informed of what the rules are before asking if a ban was unfair? Or did you just want everyone to jump on your bandwagon? The answer is pretty obvious.

I don't know if it was fair or not, all I know that it is kind of irritating how digg is monopolized by like 10 or so top users. It makes it hard, if not impossible, for the little guys like me to get anything dugg/promoted. I feel like I have to go to one of the top guys and ask them for a favor... like going to big sal or something lol

DiggBoss really made a great app for the digger ! I think the Digg was really unfair to him..
He had made a Damn useful tool for all the digger...
I think its Digg's BAD LUCK to lose such a great user n person....

A service provider should be able to control who does what with their service. We need to give that to them. I agree that your script helps users in using Digg but then if it is screwing up Digg's system then they have every right to bann the usage and the members using it. However, warning of the ban is a must which was apparently not given in this case.

When I started on Digg I didn't have a clue of how to use it. I was shouting and re-shouting my submissions up to 20 times and nobody wanted me as a friend. Once I sent a question to DiggBoss and he took time to chat with me about how to start on Digg and much more. I was impressed that he took time for me, because I sent many emails to Digg Power Users, which haven't been replied, ever. He even helped me by checking my submission, if they were appropriate for Digg (if he gave me the green light I knew submission is not spammy or against Digg TOS...).
I am sad and I'll miss them. I hope, they'll be back soon.

Heard through the grapevine that the checkfriends app was not what got Diggboss banned. There was another script, which automatically dugg your friend's submissions, that got people banned.
